OHSAS 45001 (Occupational health and safety) certification system; is a tool for systematic treatment of occupational health and safety activities in accordance with the general strategies of the organizations and for solving them within the framework of continuous improvement approach. OHSAS 45001 Occupational health and safety certification activities in our country are associated with the use of personal protectors and are traditionally perceived as work to be done separately.
The job health and safety certificate will ensure the participation of employees by clarifying the roles and responsibilities of employees, directors and auditors would be done by the Management System. With this system, employees will be able to use the OHSAS 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Documentation trainings given to the appropriate persons, ready for emergencies, monitoring their performance, observing the performance and security risks of the OHSAS 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, minimizing them to the minimum level. They will be part of a system that gives the OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Certificate an essential tool in an organization that uses its monitoring activities to initiate remediation activities, supervises its activities, observes what they do and documents them.
The OHSAS 45001 certification standard covers the management system requirements for ensuring that an organization has improved its performance in controlling occupational health and safety risks. Standard OHSAS 45001 Occupational Health and Safety does not cover detailed requirements for the design of a management system as the performance criteria do not specify.
The OHSAS 45001 standard can be applied to any organization that aims to:
A)To establish an OHSAS 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System to eliminate or minimize risks to employees and other related parties that may be exposed to occupational health and safety risks in connection with its activities;
B) To establish, implement and continuously improve an OHSAS 45001 occupational health and safety management system,
C) To assure self-assurance of conformity with the OHSAS 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Policy declared by the Foundation,
D) To show this adaptation to others,
E) To ensure that OHSAS 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System of the establishment is certified / registered by an external organization,
F) To determine and comply with the requirements of this standard.
All the requirements of this standard are intended to be incorporated into any OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System. The scope of the practice will depend on factors such as the organization's OHSAS 45001 occupational health and safety policy, the nature of its activities and the risks and complexity of its work. With this standard, it is aimed to take care of business health and safety far from product and service safety.
